Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometers outside the hamlet of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 1,884 meters.
MORAINE LAKE
The lake, being glacially fed, reaches its crest in the middle to late June. When it is complete, it reflects a distinctive shade of azure blue. The unique color is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake continually by surrounding glaciers.
I love the place. Such a relaxing place. Anyone can visit and enjoy themselves.
Happy journey, amigos!
For me
Photography is a demanding action sport. The light can change so quickly. I often find myself sprinting to catch the perfect light falling on a photogenic subject.
